Lacombe Ventures was founded with a vision for the Thompson-Okanagan region to lead British Columbia's next wave of economic growth. Principals, Ken Ellerbeck and Quinn Ellerbeck, foresaw the opportunity for the region's world-class electrical infrastructure to power the next phase of large-scale, electricity-intensive industrial development in Canada and for the region's exceptional geology and mining infrastructure to reinvigorate investment in Canadian resource exploration and major metals discoveries.
Ken Ellerbeck, B.Sc. Eng., PMP
Ken brings over 40 years of diverse experience in new venture development throughout Kamloops and the Southern Interior of British Columbia. Ken's experience ranges from guiding large-scale real-estate developments and construction projects from conception through to completion, to structuring, financing, and managing publicly traded natural resource companies. An avid baseball player, Ken continues to play competitively in the U.S. and Canada, and has won a Roy Hobbs World Series. Ken holds a PMP designation and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
Quinn Ellerbeck, B.Com, MBA
Quinn brings over 20 years of diverse business experience, spanning front-line product development leadership for Fortune 500 tech organizations, resource exploration, capital markets, and real estate development. Previously, Quinn oversaw product marketing for Intel Corporation’s newly-formed augmented reality business unit and held senior global product development positions at BlackBerry, driving the development of smartphones and enterprise software solutions. While at BlackBerry, Quinn contributed to the company’s initial transformation to enterprise cloud-based products and its brand and hardware portfolio turnaround strategy. As a longtime athlete, Quinn played competitive amateur baseball for over 20 years. Quinn holds a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia, and completed graduate-level business studies at HEC Paris.
